Le concert mettra en vedetteartistes depuis

au moins six pays dont la France, Angleterre, Irlande,

Norvège, Groenland et les États-Unis, avec une chanson ou deux chantée au moins quatre langues différentes.

 

The concert will feature artists from at least six nations including France, England, Ireland, Norway, Greenland, and the United States,

with a song or two sung in at least four different languages.

 

 

 

 

 

Ronnie Caryl

 

Ronnie Caryl est né à Liverpool, en Angleterre et il vit maintenant ici, près de Fontenet. Il est peut-être mieux connu dans le monde entier comme le guitariste et chanteur avec son ami de longue date, Phil Collins. Quand ils étaient adolescents, ils ont formé leur premier groupe « Flaming Youth ». Ils ont continué à jouer ensemble parfois au cours des années. Ronnie est très occupé avec ses propres projets en solo, pendant ses tournées mondiales, il écrit pour la télévision, le théâtre et des chansons pour d'autres artistes.

 

Ronnie Caryl was born in Liverpool, England and now lives locally.  He is perhaps best known all over the world

as a guitarist and singer with his long-time friend and bandmate, Phil Collins.  As teenagers the formed their first group together called "Flaming Youth".  They have performed together on occasion over the years.  Ronnie is very busy with his own solo projects, writing for television, theatre, and songs for other artists while touring around the world.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Guy Davis

 

Guy Davis a été surnommé « L'Ambassadeur du Blues » pour tout ce que cet américain de pure souche a fait pour le genre du Blues acoustique dans le monde entier. A partir des les îles des Galápagos au Groenland, Jakarta à Los Angeles, il a apporté la musique Roots américaine aux fans de cette musique. Guy était un ami de Pete Seeger pendant toute sa vie et il a même chanté pour lui à son chevet juste avant qu’il nous quitte.

 

 

Guy Davis has been dubbed "The Ambassador of the Blues" for all the traveling this U.S. born and raised acoustic Blues musician has done.  From the islands of the Galapagos to Greenland, Jakarta to Los Angeles, he has taken the American Roots Music wherever music fans live.  Guy was a life-long friend of the American Folk legend Pete Seeger, and sang to him at his hospital bedside just before he passed over.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Inisfree

 

Ce groupe de musique traditionnelle irlandaise est composée de Jan Widger (chant, bodhrán), Eric Darmagnac (guitare et chant) et Johan Gardre (violon). (Ancien violoniste Georges Breuil est vu dans la vidéo).  Jan est né à Dublin et chante avec passion, amour, la magie et la souffrance du peuple irlandais. Accompagné à la guitare par Eric Darmagnac et Johan Gardre au violon, ces deux francais amateurs de la musique irlandaise, ils forment le trio Inisfree (d'après une célèbre île irlandaise dans un poème de l'écrivain W.B Yeats), l'énergie et la liberté d'émotion nous font voyager dans les profondeurs de l'âme irlandaise.

 

 

This traditionally based band is made up of Jan Widger (vocals and bodhrán), Eric Darmagnac (guitar and vocals), and Johan Gardre (violin). (Former violinist Georges Breuil is seen in the video.)  Jan was born in Dublin and sings with passion, romance, love and the suffering of the Irish people.  Accompanied on guitar by Eric Darmagnac and Johan Gardre on violin, all two lovers of Irish music, they form the trio Inisfree (named after a famous Irish island in a poem by the writer W.B Yeats), the energy and freedom of emotion make us travel in the depths of the Irish soul.

 

 

GD offrira des stages dans les styles du blues à la guitare pendant la semaine precedante du concert, dans la commune de La Moreau. Parmi ses eleves, sera le talentuex jeunes goelandais qui participertont au concert.

 

Guy Davis will be leading master classes in Blues Guitar styles

in the week leading up to the concert in the nearby commune of

La Moreau.  Among his students will be talented young men from Greenland who will be participating in the concert.
